II International Scientific Conference "Philosophical Understanding of Historiographic and Prospective Tasks of Modern Public Law", November 10, 2025, Yekaterinburg
Conference organizers: Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPL UB RAS), Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISL RAS), Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UB RAS).
In a situation of exacerbated external challenges and internal contradictions, Russian society is in dire need of updating its value-institutional foundation. Improving the principles of political and legal regulation is aimed at consolidating the Russian nation in its historical, ideological and civilizational dimensions. Effective adjustment of social regulation mechanisms involves discussing both historical patterns and possible prospects and risks of transforming the value-ideological sphere of Russia.
The sovereign position of Russia in the global world presupposes scientific substantiation and protection of its own path of civilizational development in the context of counteracting the expansion of values in relation to the language of description of historical, political and legal processes. Therefore, we propose to pay attention to the problems of transformation of value-institutional mechanisms of political and legal regulation, the evolution of the Russian historical paradigm and the need to create a verified historiography of political and legal knowledge that meets the current needs of Russian society and the state.
The conference plans to discuss the following issues:
– Philosophical understanding of the historical development of Russian identity;
– Analysis of historical, methodological and value foundations of various versions of the civilizational approach;
– Civilizational approach and historiography of political and legal doctrines;
– Problems of improving the doctrinal foundations and historiographic contexts of modern public law;
– The role of historical truth in political and legal historiographic models;
– Constitutional, legal and value-institutional mechanisms that ensure the reproduction and cohesion of the Russian state, nation, civilization.
During the conference, it is planned to discuss and adopt scientific, methodological and expert recommendations for the government bodies of the Russian Federation.
