The article is devoted to the problem of party nomenclature inside contemporary Russian political system. The article attempts to answer the question what the party nomenclature in the contemporary Russian party system looks like. Party nomenclature is defined as a ruling group that can fight for power and define the development of political parties. Based on the analysis of party-list parties in the elections to the State Duma in 2003 and 2007 years, the investigation demonstrated that party nomenclature didn’t exist. As a result, the author concludes that the lists of all political parties do not contain united group of party bureaucrats who are capable of autonomous actions in relation to the other elite groups.
